Piano & Guitar Lessons
At my studio, piano and guitar lessons are tailored to each students goals and interests as we explore technique, composition and improvisation through student song selections and carefully curated repertoire to become well rounded musicians. Students from all ages and stages are part of my studio lessons.
Shared Lessons
Play and whimsy are at the heart of my teaching approach. When we are having fun, our brains are primed for optimal learning. And when we are sharing that experience with others, the impact is amplified. That is why I have built my studio around a community music making model that offers shared lessons, ensemble opportunities and family classes.
Typically students share a one hour lesson time, which includes a combination of individual iinstruction, technology based learning in the Music Lab, improvisation, composition and ensemble work with their partner. For more advanced students who want to dig deeper into theory and technique, private lessons may be better suited to their goals.
Lessons run from Fall to Spring, with a break to enjoy the beauty of the Shuswap summers.
