Having troubles reading this? !

Hi !

What I love about this time of year, is stopping to reflect and express gratitude for things that happened in the past year. Here are my:

Magical Music Moments of 2014!

  1. I got to see B.B. King in San Francisco (before he stopped touring 6 weeks later)
  2. My husband surprised me with Barenaked Ladies (the band…) tickets
  3. Our new trio – the Dolly Vardens had 1st gig
  4. The studio relocated…again…to the basement! (My husband and I are BOTH excited it has a door.)
  5. Corb Lund came to Salmon Arm and we got to have a wobbly pop with him at the pub after
  6. Roots & Blues Festival – always amazing!
  7. I got a fancy digital piano and Ukulele
  8. Backyard music jams with all my dad’s this summer
  9. Duelling Piano’s in San Francisco
  10. Singing with my husband in the car!

Upcoming in 2015

I am SO excited about new projects that lie on the horizons…the only hint I can give is:

It’s going to be groovy!

However, What I CAN share with you is that I am SO excited to be bringing back

Music Together® Family classes!

I love and adore this early childhood music program and have missed it terribly.  I took a break from it to research solutions to low enrolment and location challenges. I have been working with headquarters and have found a flexible solution to offering classes and thanks to Ali Fowler,  a new location has been approved!

Please join me in building a
music making community!
  • Thursdays at 11:30am-12:15pm
  • Sweet Freedom Yoga Studio
  • Mixed ages: Infant – 5 year olds
  • Classes start Jan 15th

NEW: Classes are held weekly from Jan-June (with the exception of spring break in March), billed monthly on an equal payment plan.

Parent Papparazzi 2014

Dear Parents,

Your students need YOUR help! Many of the students are working VERY hard on their Rockin’ the Practise Challenge—a studio wide competition for prizes.  If you haven’t seen their challenge page yet…go have a look at it now! For the last week of the challenge, here are they instructions:
This week your parents must catch you practicing without being asked to do so…when they see you practicing, they must sneak a photo of you and email it to the studio.
So get your photo in asap!  Some students are approaching the final task!
